Magnetic Pyramid Design
As of this writing (August 2025), our clinic is not aware of any other pyramid designed for meditation that has incorporated magnetic forces into every aspect of the apparatus, facilitating the very stability of the structure itself. While some commercially available pyramids have incorporated magnets at the apex, this is the first fully magnetic pyramid design to our knowledge, again for use in meditation. We make no claim as to the beneficial effects of this design, but we will mention potential dangers noted by clinicians who work with magnets, as well as a few general guiding principles in its development. Licensed independent practitioners are welcome to replicate our design and document findings, with modifications, as needed.

Design Narrative
This design is subject to change as research and experience guides development.
The current Magnetic Pyramid design consists of eight Type M hardened copper pipes, 0.5” in diameter, but Type K, L or M are likely fine. Consider transport, because the pipes will stick out of the back of most vehicles at 120" in length (red tape or cloth usually required). These pipes articulate with one another through 16 joints connected to one of five steel balls measuring 1.5" in diameter. Each of four base balls (steel spheres) attach to three pipes, two from the sides and one from the apex, above. The apex sphere attaches to four pipes, with varying additional magnet arrangements possible at each of the five spheres.
Our current prototype includes approximately 60 0.5" by 1" cylindrical neodymium N52 magnets. Two magnets are arranged axially at both ends of each of the eight pipes, accounting for 32 magnets. At 120", one magnet at each articulation was insufficient to maintain the structure. While many options were reviewed for the orientations and polarity of the magnet sets, the principles guiding the prototype were as follows:
1. North pole facing inferior (down) where possible - toward the occupants of the pyramid.
2. North pole facing interior (in) where possible - toward the occupants of the pyramid.
3. North pole facilitating a counterclockwise flow where possible - around the occupants of the pyramid - aligning with other energetic healing modalities.
In addition to the ends of each pole, we opted to place magnet sets along the shafts to augment flow. BioGeometry recommends drawing a line or wrapping a piece of tape or some other permanent demarcation mid-shaft of the four base pipes. For 120" pipe, this occurs at the 60" mark. The rationale for this involves dispersing elements of the magnetic and/or electrical flow that could be harmful and is intended to simulate the eight sides of the Pyramid of Giza.
An additional 8 to 16 magnets can be arranged in this fashion with one or two at the midpoint of each base pipe and another one or two either 2/3s up the poles attached to the apex, or perhaps also at the midpoint. BioGeometry guides these options, as well, with the north polarities of the magnets oriented as stated above (down, in, and counterclockwise).
These additional magnets can be placed along the pipes or inside of pipes, held in place by dowels between the end magnet sets. Experience suggests attaching them to the outside is the better option for ease of adjustment.

While our prototype pyramid used 1" leather straps of varying length to secure the magnets, adjusting them when indicated has been difficult. It is likely that 0.5" width and approximately 2mm thick leather straps would suffice. The image of the broken magnets displays how they tend to break. Oddly enough, none of the magnets broke while being hammering into the pipes. They broke due to magnets pulling together, even though we were being careful. Determine the dimensions of the pyramid you want to construct by using an on online calculator. For Giza dimensions, the slant angle will approximate 51.85. Since the magnets and steel balls add some length to the structure, approximating the angles should work. This balances art and science, allowing an intuitive element.
If creating a pyramid with Giza dimensions using 120” poles at the base, then the upright lateral edge poles would be 5.75” shorter to achieve the Giza ratio. An online calculator will determine this. If creating a pyramid with a shorter edge, the calculator will adjust the dimensions. Pay attention to the slant angle, edge angle and face angle. They probably won’t be exact, but they can be very close. The equilateral dimensions noted in another image represent a pyramid with all poles approximating 120”, each upright side formed by an equilateral triangle. Once the lengths of pipe are determined, use the pipe cutter or a hack saw to resize them. The circular pipe cutter only requires three to four rotations to cut the pipe. Once cut, a Dremel or screwdriver shaft might be needed to push the pipe’s edges back out, making the sides of the pipe straight, again. Eight Sides of the Giza Pyramid
Here are a few sketches that illustrate attachments and magnet set orientation. All base corner balls attach to two north poles (one from above and one base side) and one south pole (base side). When looking at the pyramid, this means that the base pipe left of the ball presents a north pole and the base pipe right of the ball presents a south pole to the ball. The upright pipes will always present the north pole to the lower balls, as noted in Option 7, below.
Important to note that either pole will connect to the steel balls, so care must be taken to determine the poles in advance and ideally mark them, because the magnets like to jump around. Once they are hammered in, it is far more work to get them back out if they need to be reversed or repositioned.
The image below illustrates the ideal flow for our prototypical purposes. The reader will note numerous variations on magnet placement and direction. Our design simply followed a general avoidance of facing south polarities toward people or patients in specialized healing sessions. While there may be instances where such orientations might be beneficial, general safety considerations were prioritized in our design. Alternative Options such as 2, 3, 5 and 8 that have the magnets in the center of the base pipes repelling each other are interesting, but they don’t facilitate the counterclockwise flow. What they do is exaggerate the midline, ideally dispersing harmful energies, while theoretically simulating the slight indentations on each side of the Pyramid of Giza. A simple line or ring of tape placed midsection around the pipe is thought to do the same thing, so optimizing the counterclockwise flow was selected.
A moment again to emphasize the need for a line in the middle of each base pipe (as a ring around the pipe at the midsection). BioGeomtry reports at least one death (with spontaneous mummification) for not doing so, which was attributed to a buildup of harmful energies. While we were unsure of its necessary, doing so was simple enough to avoid the risk.
A simpler design would exclude the interior magnet sets in both the upright and the base pipes. Such a design could be accomplished without dowels (or a wood saw) and with only 32 magnets. In the 48-magnet design of Option 7, we have added 8 additional magnets exterior to the pipes at each of the eight interior magnet points. This may or may not help the flow, but it certainly enhances the field strengths.
Second Disclaimer
We have no idea what effects, if any, such a pyramid will have or how any potential effects would be altered by positioning the magnets in alternate ways. That said, there does seem to be a lot of research on the shape of the pyramid itself, as well as magnetic therapies used in clinical practice, enough that we decided to design a magnetic pyramid initially using equilateral dimensions and soon after that we modified it to Giza dimensions. Also worth noting is that several experts recommend aligning one base side with either Earth’s Magnetic North Pole or Polaris (the North Star). We’ve chosen Polaris, because our residence is almost aligned with it and it doesn’t move as much as Magnetic North… relatively speaking. Updated August 20, 2025

Notes
With a 72” portion of 0.5” leather (any color), cut it in half repeatedly until you end up with 16 approximately 4.5” segments if using of both ends of all eight poles. If only using a particular color leather strap for the four base poles and the lower end of the upright edge poles, you can cut 12 6” segments. Alternately, if only using for the four base poles (two segments per pole), you can cut eight 9” segments. A 4.5” length is fine for the four lower corners with three poles attaching to steel ball since they only need to extend under or over the ball enough to stabilize the attachment. The two 1" magnets and stabilizing screw take up about 2.25" to 2.5" interior to the end of each pipe. Whatever color and lengths are chosen, each leather segment will secure two neodymium magnets at the ends of each pole. Care should be taken to determine the poles of each magnet set before hammering them in, because removing them becomes more challenging as the projects nears completion. Worth noting, once the magnets are placed, they can be carefully removed by using two of the wooden dowels to hammer them out from the opposite end of the pipe. This should be avoided, if possible, because the magnets are brittle and might break. However, even the broken magnets can be used internally, but ideally not at the ends or outside of the pipes. Wipe each pipe with alcohol or something like a baby wipe to clean them. Using a rubber mallet, fit each of the eight pipes with a magnet set at one end, leaving the other end of the pipe open for dowel placement. The two 1” magnets in each set, plus the leather encased screw that is added to the leather segment to keep the magnets from sliding further in the pipe, will occupy approximately 2.5”. The screw should be set 0.25” or more from the inner edge of the leather segment. Place another small piece of leather on the screw to cushion the magnets.
When hammering the leather and magnet holder into each pipe, a section of the leather may sheer off. This is fine as it indicates the magnets are securely set. Just pull any excess leather off. However, be aware the magnets will not be easily removed if that tight. For insertion, it helps to pinch the sides of the leather in while pushing the magnets down against the leather to hammer it into the pipe. Again, try to leave about 0.125” to 0.25” of the magnet protruding from the pipe. This can be adjusted later. With one end of each pipe secured with magnets, the interior of each pipe can be addressed (unless you opt to place the mid-shaft magnets on the outside, which is recommended). The actual Giza Pyramid has eight sides. This can be simulated in several ways. Bending the pipes is one option, but it is not recommended. Again, BioGeometry states that a line can be drawn around the circumference at the center of each base pipe. So a 120” pipe could have a line drawn around it in a circle at the 60” mark. Also, a piece of tape can be secured at the same location. Additionally, magnets can be placed inside or outside the pipe at the same location. For the upright edge pipes, the location might be 2/3s up, or center shaft, again related to GeoBiometry. We opted to 2/3s, because the natural downward flow from the apex is thought to change in thirds from top to bottom. Equilateral Pyramid Dimensions

If you choose to place the magnets internally, cut the dowels for the base pipes to 57” from 72”. This allows for 2.5” at either end with 2” in the middle for another set of two magnets. Note 57 + 57 + 7 = 121. If the pipe is 120”. Then the magnets are expected to extend beyond the pipes by 0.5” on either side. Feel free to adjust, as needed, but make sure the end magnets protrude slightly to attach to the steel ball and allow the leather to extend under the ball (for the base pipes) and over the ball (for the upright lateral edge pipes. For variations in which mid-shaft magnets are internal to the pipe with opposing polarities, the dowels would need to be slightly shorter to accommodate. We have chosen not to investigate that option, at this time. Measure and cut the dowels to allow each interior set of magnets their optimal placements. This is mid-section for the base pipes and 2/3s up for the upright pipes, or mid-section (centered) for all. North pole facing down was maintained for the upright pipes at the 1/3 from the apex sphere in our prototype. On a pyramid with 120” base and 114.25” upright pipes, the 72” dowel approximates the 2/3 point (76.166”). Again, close enough.
The 2/3s upright pipe magnet sets serve to enhance the energy, while the base pipe’s bisecting magnets serve to disperse potentially harmful negative green vertical energy (electrical) and amplify the counterclockwise flow. Worth noting that in BioGeometry, the downward energy from the apex is thought to alternate between the more beneficial negative green horizontal energy (magnetic) and the less beneficial negative green vertical energy at each 1/3-point descending. These terms are new to us and we are looking into them. The prototype pyramid was designed and revised so that all four apex magnets maintained the same polarity with north pointing down in all sets. The base pipes were also intended to have the north poles of each set facing counterclockwise. Regardless, they all attach to the steel spheres. It’s just a matter of optimizing the magnetic currents, which is at the core of this design. As such, each of the four lower corners will connect to one north pole from the upright pipe, along with one north pole and one south pole magnet to augment the counterclockwise flow. An additional magnet can be placed with north facing in from the corner if additional stabilization is required or to experiment with the effects. Each of the eight pipes contain magnet sets with the same pattern of orientation, all north polarities facing a particular direction. The poles are then place with north down or north facing counterclockwise.

Any wood can be used for the dowels, but hardwood is idea. Poplar, Oak, etc. Four of the upright dowel segments were cut to 34.75” with the other four segments left at 72”. For the prototype pyramid the bisecting base magnet sets were secured using purple 0.5” tape and the upright trisecting magnets sets used green tape. Any color is fine, as long as they are different for placement purposes. Once the magnets are marked, ideally with the poles noted, they can be oriented and taped between the dowels or on the pipes. If inserted into the pipes, they should leave 2.5” or slightly more. Since an area with a 240” span is needed to guide the dowel-magnet sets into place, you may need a hallway or open garage. With the dowels in place, or avoided, the second end cap magnets can be hammered into place. Care should be taken so that the leather straps are oriented the same way on both ends. This goes for all eight pipes. We opted to use two colors for the base pipes denoting their magnetic direction and third color with a longer portion of leather for the apex joint. The extended length allowing the leather to wrap over the steel ball for additional support, if needed. The apex segments were cut at 12” each, leaving about 9.5” extending from the upper ends of the upright pipes. The apex magnets on the upright pipes were difficult to hammer in… 72 + 34.75 + 2.5 +2 + 2.5 = 113.75… not sure why, as an additional 1” was left to accommodate potential error. Notes
The pyramid was ready is go up at this point. One person can do it, but two would be helpful. Arrange the base pipes in a square, adding a steel ball to each of the four corners. Wrap the leather portions extending from under the magnets in each pipe under the ball. Then, place two of the upright pipes each against a ball in opposite (non-adjoining) corners. With this upright triangle in place, add the third and fourth pipes to their respective base corner balls and the apex. The leather on the lower end of the upright pipes should be above the magnets and wrap over the ball. At times, one of the upright pipe magnets may slip off the base ball it is attached to, but in doing so it is likely the attach to the other end of one of the base pipe magnet sets, maintaining the upright pyramid structure. Just move it back. The upright pipes would likely benefit from longer leather segments at the lower end, as well as the upper end, so that the lower leather can wrap over and then under the ball at the base. We ended up adding several additional magnets to the apex sphere to offset the four south polarities attached to it from the upright pipes. This stabilized the apex superbly. We then added several more down facing north magnets on both sides of the apex to amplify the internal flow, as well as one internally north facing magnet at each base corner. This is work in progress and highlights the utility of having access to most of the magnets. Third Disclaimer
